If you want to save Nanami in Rockaxe Castle, then there are certain requirements needed.

After 20 successful playthroughs of the game and good research some 15 years ago when I first played the game,
I learned a lot of tips and tricks.

It’s my time to pass them on, so read below how to save Nanami!

1. Recruit all 108 Stars of Destiny before the Rockaxe Castle event. This unlocks the “true” path and is absolutely essential.
2. Raise Nanami’s DEF stat to at least 121, though many recommend pushing it above 180 to be safe.
3. During the cutscene at Rockaxe Castle where she’s targeted by arrows, choose any dialogue option immediately (within 1–2 seconds). The speed of your reaction is critical.
4. If done correctly, Dr. Huan will pull Shu aside afterward for a private conversation — this is your sign that Nanami is actually alive.
