Faylon and Faylen are a sibling duo that can be recruited in Suikoden V through multiple paths depending on your choices throughout the early and mid-game. I missed them in my playthroughs so I didn’t get the best ending.

Here’s the methods to recruit these two odd bandits.

Option 1: Recruit Them During the Bandit Hideout Event

(Early Game)

You’ll first encounter Faylon, Faylen, and Roy at the Bandit Hideout, early in the story.

After defeating them, you’ll be prompted with dialogue choices. Choose the following to recruit them right away:

1. “Fine. Let’s see what you’ve got.”

2. “I was only trying to clear my good name…”

3. “All right, it’s set!”

✅ Result: Roy, Faylon, and Faylen join immediately.

Option 2: Sable Route

(Mid-Game)

If you didn’t recruit them earlier, you can still get Faylon and Faylen during the Sable segment:

Visit Ranro Mountain and enter their old hideout and do the following:

 Recover three stolen items.

Speak to the mayor in Sable.

Return to the hideout and talk to Faylon and Faylen.

✅ Result: They join after completing the event.

Option 3: Post-Castle Defense

(Late Game)

If you skip both earlier chances, there’s one last opportunity:

When prompted by Lucretia, choose to defend the castle.

After the event, Faylon and Faylen become recruitable.

You can find them in one of the following locations:

Ranro Mountain (Bandit Hideout)

Castle Cemetery

Inside your HQ (e.g., gear room)

✅ Result: They will join automatically—no dialogue choices needed.
