After liberating Middleport from the infamous Little Daisy,
Charlemagne is introduced when Helga is rampaging through the Middleport tavern and inn.
Recruiting him can be a pain in the backend, so we’ll show you how to do it!
Step 1: Talk to Charlemagne and he will tell you he needs more time before he’s ready to join you.
Step 2: Leave Middleport and sail back in immediately.
Do NOT Teleport, as it will not work.
Step 3: Talk to Charlemagne again, get the same dialogue.
Leave Middleport again and sail back in immediately once more.
Again, do NOT teleport! It will reset the counter.
Step 4: Talk to Charlemagne anew, and he is finally read to join you as a Star of Destiny!
