Sadly, there are no support characters with a Holy Rune with function like Stallion to go fast, or help to avoid enemies.

Even Cedric can’t help you out in this game. So what DO you DO?

1. Early on in the game, you can use the R1 button on the controller to increase ship sailing speed. That will aid you a bit in the travel speed and hopefully less encounters.
   
   
2. Wait out until you have your HQ Ship and travel to the Nay-Kobold Settlement. At the Suspension Bridge, our travelling friend Viki appears! Talk to her and then go into the settlement. Return and speak to her again. You will also instantly get the Glowing Hand (Blinking) Mirror. You can now travel much faster and no longer by sea.

   The faster you get Viki, the more pleasant the remainder of the game will be, also for the outlying islands still to visit the first time, and add to the teleportation list.
   
   

3. More timeconsuming are the Treasure Maps. 
   Recruit Rene on Donut Island. Bring Treasure Map #16, that can be found on Iluya Island. After digging, you will find the Champions Rune, which keeps away the feeble enemies. Most used for the far travels to Limeshelf Island and Mountain Mass Island, for those special treasures!
