I’ve been stuck more than once after the entire Liberating Middleport arc, to gain some valuable Stars of Destiny, like Charlemagne.
Who would have expected someone like him to just be there, engaging with someone as ruthless as Helga?
In the end it seems to me like he could use the company of Stoltenheim Reinbach and Mickey again.
I also still don’t get why his nose is that red. Any idea’s?
Recruiting him can be a pain in the backend, so we’ll show you how to do it!
The following steps need to be followed precisely. If you do not follow these instructions, you will miss one of the 108 Stars of Destiny, and thus not get the perfect ending.
Step 1: Talk to Charlemagne and he will tell you he needs more time before he’s ready to join you.
Step 2: Leave Middleport and sail back in immediately.
Do NOT Teleport, as that will overturn the entire step.
Step 3: Talk to Charlemagne again, and read the same possibly boring dialogue.
Leave Middleport again and sail back in immediately once more.
Again, do NOT teleport! It will reset the counter, and you will be stuck in a loop
Step 4: Talk to Charlemagne anew, and he is finally read to join you as a Star of Destiny!
Charlemagne is not the only Star of Destiny that’s hard to get to join your cause in Middleport.
Pecola is another fine example here of hard to recruit Stars of Destiny.
